Alex Hall
Originally learnt to play clarinet and sax and switched to keyboards in the early '80's after getting hooked on electronic music.
He started gigging in 1984 whilst still at school and recalls playing a dodgy gig at the Crypt in Hastings the night before one of his Maths 'A' level exams.
He worked for ex-"After The Fire" keyboard player (Peter "Memory" Banks) for a short period and then formed his own band "Big Damage" in 1987.
This morphed into "Elvis on Mars" where he enlisted Mick's help for gigs and recordings.
He has produced other bands such as "Who Will Miss Mary...?" and likes to dabble in musical projects across all genres, evening having the misfortune to write for theatre and pantomime ;o).
Alex joined the David Cross Band in 2001 when Mick was putting the band together to tour "Closer Than Skin" and says:
"I jumped at the opportunity, and feel privileged to have played at this level. The Tokyo experience was incredible!" << Back |
